The first 2026 JT Olive Oil is already on the shelf at JT Trading Post. The bottles on sale now are a small batch from the first pressing of this year's harvest from JT Olive Oil (Joshua Tree Olive Oil, the Bellabiod family's grove), and they come in two sizes: 100 mL for $24 and 250 mL for $40. The harvest itself is still going, so this is the earliest taste of the 2026 crop you can get.

Wait, the harvest isn't over yet?
Nope, and that's the fun part. As of October 20, the 2026 harvest is still underway. Instead of waiting for every last olive to come off the trees, the first pressing went straight into a small batch of bottles, and those are the ones at JTTP right now. How many bottles the full 2026 run will make is still to be determined, so if you want the first ones, now's the time.
Who grows it?
JT Olive Oil, also known as Joshua Tree Olive Oil. It's a father-and-son operation run by Serge and Lucas Bellabiod, who Palm Springs Life reports planted about 2,000 trees in 2013. Most of the trees are Arbequina, plus a few French varieties planted out of curiosity. Olive trees handle heat, wind and very little water, which makes them surprisingly good neighbors for the Mojave.
Where is it made?
The olives are picked and processed in Joshua Tree, then milled in San Ardo. Desert-grown fruit, a short trip to the mill, and back to the high desert in a bottle.
What does it taste like?
The JTTP listing describes this small-batch, unfiltered extra virgin olive oil as smooth and balanced, with a little pepper and a clean finish. Drizzle it on warm bread, toss it with a salad, or give the last slice of pizza a glossy upgrade.
Is there a release party?
There is an official-release tasting this Saturday, October 24, but it's a small, invite-only gathering with limited space. The good news: you don't need an invite to taste the 2026 oil. The first-batch bottles are already waiting for you at JT Trading Post.
